Profile
ISE's mission is to provide
the outside technical resources companies need
to control their technology risk.
ISE provides customized solutions.
Our work is tailored to the project and the customer.
We analyze designs, code, and systems and provide
a customized solution, based on our highly developed
skills and experience. Every system is unique
and has different requirements. At ISE, we do
not believe there is a "one size fits all"
solution to security. Whereas network scanning
and firewall configuration are commodity security
services, ISE performs analyses and designs systems
that are specific to customers' needs.
The experts at ISE have vast experience
in every facet of security. The team includes
computer scientists, electrical engineers, and
cryptographers. ISE experts have testified before
Congress, served as expert witnesses, participated
in creating standards, and evaluated systems for
both government and private industry. ISE researchers
have published several influential books and dozens
of scientific papers in the top refereed conferences
and journals. They have also analyzed and helped
repair several widely used commercial systems.
Maintaining confidentiality and
privacy is of the utmost importance to ISE. The
security evaluation of systems and products is
a highly sensitive matter, and ISE recognizes
that maintaining confidentiality results is critical.
When performing third-party evaluations,
ISE is completely independent of any ties to vendors
and special interests. This objectivity allows
us to provide unbiased reviews and recommendations.
To maintain this independence, we do not accept
any contract that creates a conflict with an existing
customer. Thus, when ISE does accept a contract
to review vendor systems, we provide the assurance
of a completely independent review.
ISE is not
affiliated with Johns Hopkins University.
